Let's go back to averaging 90 points a game. :D

I love JVG. I love him more on the commentator booth than in the coach's seat.

I'd miss the one commentator that doesn't hate Houston, but I'm all for JVG in any capacity

By all means, let's bring back the guy who couldn't get it done last time we gave him a chance.

didn’t really like JVG towards the end of his tenure and was ready to move on from him after blowing that 2-0 lead against Utah and losing game 7 at home...we also lost game 7 against Dallas by forty, but back then, I was just happy to even make it that far since we’d been nothing for several years up to that point so I let it go

granted it was an injury riddled season, but that 05-06 season is still the hardest season I ever had to endure...the team was unwatchable...barely scoring 90 and old as dirt...I hope to never ever ever have to experience something like that again

My memory is a little fuzzy, but I don’t recall JVG playing a big rotation. I remember him being real MDA-like in that regard.

maybe he’s changed after so many years away from coaching

Love JVG but we really need a fresh mind, someone who's a master of Xs and Os on both ends and JVG is mainly just a defense/hustle coach.

In what world has a coach that's been a 'fit' for Harden, truly been a good fit?

At least give Jay Wright a call and check back with Silas.

JVG would not work, he's been out of the game too long, is also a dinosaur and I'm not sure how Harden would have a good relationship with him if he's still a hard ass.

I want JVG! I want a coach who will hold his players accountable AND step up to the plate to defend his players!

How many coaches can a NBA team hire ? Can Houston hire 3 or 4 coaches in one team?

Bring in Sam Cassell or Tyrone Lue for interviews at least. If their aren't better options hire one of them.

I was here with JVG. He's NEVER been a offensive coach. He'll rather play the guys with absolutely no offensive skill, like Ryan Bowen, because they simple hustle. Guys that can score get put in the doghouse. He's the opposite of MDA, snail paced offense and all focus on defense.

The only reason you guys love him is because he says nice things about us on TV, which is desperate

Everyone was here when he was coach. I didn’t even suggest they hire him. But you’re kidding yourself if you think they are changing the offense for Jeff Van Gundy lol. He’d be doing what more tells him to do
