Anyone arguing for leniency for House wouldn't be arguing for it if this were happening to a Lakers player. We'd just be giving him the Nelson "HA HA". There are parties with an interest in protecting House (his teammates, coaches, the front office, NBAPA). We'll see what they have to say eventually, but the fact that they've all kept incredibly mum isn't a good look on him.
This forced sex abstinence the NBA put these dudes through is BS, anyway. No way players aren't pulling the same type of move all over the bubble. No way the NBA doesn't know about them either. The NBA will just pick and choose who to screw over.
The NBA still didn’t give us the evidence. They just said they concluded...I want to know, I am very skeptical of this whole situation.
If it had been his teammates, we would have been OK. Though it would have messed with the locker room ...
It's not a ten-day quarantine type situation. So, it's not because of the virus itself. Could it be simply punishment for a rule violation? The league has not stated that directly. There must must be video from all over the place in that hotel, with the NBA players there. They do have the video. I believe the NBA was totally certain about House from the very beginning. I think no one on any side is interested in talking about this.
It takes some guys a hell of a lot longer than 27 years of age to grow up. Hopefully, John Lucas will get ahold of him and help straighten him out.
As for handling House after this season ends, anyone out there in the Clutchfans still want him on the team? Or do you think there's irreparable damage done particularly against fellow teammates? The potential handling of House sorta has the same vibes as Astros' handling of Hinch / Luhnow.
He's an energy player that is streaky on the cheap. There's really no question if the Rockets want him.
That's stupid. They aren't forced to play. They had a choice to opt out if they can't refrain from sex in the bubble, or follow Covid safety protocol.
Obviously this is 100% on House - period, no excuses. but you would hope that you'd have leadership on your team that would help keep everyones heads straight and priorities in order... I mean I would assume such influence would be even less obtainable out in the world - but y'all are in a bubble together for gods sake... smh... How is it the team aint on top of this - but the league caught wind of it? It's like all the years i spent managing stores... if you're having a conversation about a problem concerning one of your employees with corporate or loss prevention - it better be you calling them and not them notifying you of the issue... jus my opinion... may jus be salty bout the whole the thing... lol
Doesn't matter. Moreyball isn't effective in the postseason against disciplined defenses. House wouldn't have changed anything
You bring up a good point. Perhaps Dan can trade his wood for some picks next time instead of going all willy nilly...
Did you guys not read the article? Wtf is wrong with your cognitive skills? This woman was not allowed to be there. She got past security. That's what made this what it is. They don't send and aren't purporting to send a guy home for breaking a sex rule.
Rockets just had to switch hotels, stay in the Lakers hotel and good chance it wouldn't have happened.
