I discovered this band about two years ago, and I have been utterly obsessed with them since then. They introduced me to the world of Synthwave, and I have been a rabid fan of the genre afterwards. They're the perfect blend of nostalgia, and incorporate ALOT of classic 80's movies and sounds into their music and videos.

Anyone else a fan? Here's a few of my favorites.

thanks for the suggestion, this sounds really good.

I've been listening to a lot of STRFKR the past few years, and they almost seem similar. STRFKR has been out for quite a long time though, but I still listen the f@ck out of them

Love Gunship. I like "The Mightnight" a little bit more, but Gunship is definitely one of my favorites.

Also, not the Midnight, but I love this song

This thread is the ****! I liked every single track posted above! Well done guys!

Gonna throw this out there. I don't know if it's quite synthwave...but, for me, brings a similar feeling when I listen to this as compared to those above.

Com Truise (probably my second favorite artist right now, behind Boy Harsher)

Sunset is an absolute masterpiece. They're my second favorite behind Gunship. I am not a fan of their newest album, but it still jams. FM-84 is probably my 3rd favorite (tied with TimeCop1983)

Gunship officially wins title of "Coolest Band Ever"

They just dropped this video on a live stream and totally made my day. Absolute nostalgic badassness.

I need a @donkeypunch curated link. It's more private and personal that way. Almost like I'm in you.

Whoah... I don't look forward to prostate exams, so you saying "almost in me", in a private, personal setting scares me.

Had Gunship going today when I was putzing around in my garage. New video with Kat Von D, which I thought was a weird add but she’s still pretty, and sort of goes with the pound of makeup 80’s motif.

This thread has gotten my Synthwave enthusiasm back!

Alexa is too dumb to understand what I’m asking for. Do you use the app or just tell Alexa what to do? If so, what’s the command?

All alexa is, is a voice recognition machine. (also very much overpriced). The question is sent to their datacenter for calculation.

I apologize in advance for people who have an Echo, but why would you pay someone to bug your home.

Not sure if anyone here worked at Amazon/Google/Facebook; they do some of the shadiest things with your data.

    music.amazon.com

Or install the app on your phone / tablet.

On alexa, you should just be able to say something like play "xxxxx" and it'll default to amazon music. I don't use our alexa often, but it's in the baby room for controlling the lamp etc.
