    1. If PJ isn't hitting the corner 3 does it hurt to give Jeff or Covington a couple extra minutes playing PJs role and possibly giving us an uplift from that wide open shot. It opens the lane even more for Russ, James, Eric, and Austin

    2. Loosen up the rotations and stop being so dogmatic about subbing players in and out. If they are in a groove let play a couple extra minutes. Jeff, Covington, Austin, etc...

    3. Give Austin some of Eric's minutes (sheesh what is it 18% or 22% from 3). Maybe even that defensive sieve McLemore. We will not win a game against OKC scoring less than 110 pts. Watching that Utah/Denver game was tragic 80-78. What was that the 1990s Knicks vs Pistons

    4. At some point in time can we please sit on CP3's right hand, force him left and then trap/double him of the PnR. Don't reach, force him to pass out top. He's proven that he's going to BBQ James and Covington when they switch onto him.

    5. Change up some of your offensive and defensive strategies. Give OKC some new looks consistently.

What is with people always singling out PJ? He is shooting 42% from three in this series. What corner three is he not hitting? Are we watching the same games?

Jeff Green was actually horrible on both ends in game 6

the biggest issue is MDA’s inability to stop trotting out son EG out there for 30+ minutes to crater our offense and play an incredibly low IQ brand of basketball

McLemore should get some time, because if he’s hot, that’s at least 3 or 4 made three pointers right there...our offensive rating this series, and throughout the regular season, has been excellent when he’s on the floor

MDA playing Russ late in the 4th when he was as rusty as he was was inexcusable...continuing to play EG was inexcusable

these dudes better step up in game 7, because if they lose this series, all Rockets fans need to go into hiding effective immediately

spot on....PJ has been playing great. He needs to do his best to stay out of picking up early fouls, because we probably need to ride him for 40 minutes.

Jeff green as been getting cooked and hunted by CP3. he has no chance.

We need to go with rivers over green and even play midget ball. We can't afford to keep getting killed on the perimeter.

i highly doubt that Gordon will be out. They have rode him this long and will probably live or die with him, as their jobs are on the line.

You're absolutely correct PJ iis shooting 41.6% this series. I guess the issue is the number of minutes he plays. We've won every game that PJ plays less than 35 minutes. Also, his shooting percentage varies wildly game to game...
    Game 1 37.5%
    Game 2 100%
    Game 3 20%
    Game 4 37.5%
    Game 5 25%
    Game 6 42.9%

The reason we win every game he plays less than 35 minutes is because the games aren't close so he gets to sit longer, and sub out for garbage time. It's not like winning has anything to do with playing PJ less minutes.

I wouldn’t say Rivers over Green unless he is getting cooked again or it’s crunch time and we absolutely need some perimeter defense since Green has been 1 of our best offensive players, and our offense has been letting us down for large portions of this series

unfortunately, Gordon will probably see his usual amount of minutes and shots in game 7...we just have to hope that MDA’s stubbornness prevails and EG actually produces

like harold said, he played less than 35 minutes because we blew them out in those games by 15, 13, and 34 points...if it’s a close game, he needs to be out there, and he needs to be playing major minutes

u can say that about the whole team

Who on this squad is a consistently good shooter outside of McLemore who doesn’t play? Tucker has been 1 of our best shooters, and that is the case with him every postseason. People talk like he’s shooting 30% from 3 and missing every wide open shot.

The turnovers are going to have to stop if they want to advance to 2nd round. Thats about all i can say.

My issue is that Eric Gordon has decided to shoot like Ben Simmons.

Gordon is 8-43 for the series. He should just fake an injury to avoid further humiliation.

If you take out his 3pt FGs he's actually hitting about 52% of his shots inside the 3pt line. The past couple of games I watched he had no issues dribble driving from the 3 pt line into the paint but the dude keeps on jacking 3s.

    Rivers
    B-Mac

Have become unplayable all of a sudden.

Few adjustments I hope to see today:
    1. Give Ben a few minutes (only when CP is on the bench)
    2. Run more PnR action where Green is the ball handler
    3. Set more of those staggered screens for Harden that either get Dort off of him. If Dort gets physical fighting through then, you have a chance to get him in foul trouble
    4. Post up Russ whenever SGA or Schroeder are on him
    5. Play CP for the shot and force him left
    6. Play Shroeder for the drive
    7. Put Covington on Dort - Rob is best as a free safety on D
    8. Stagger Gordon and Russ minutes - EGo has been good when slashing but Russ mucks up the lanes too much. Rivers and Russ should get more run together

you're right. someone posted this earlier and/or in another thread and it's funny but sad at the same time:

Eric Gordon is shooting as well as Luguentz Dort.

with MDA... if you're a starter then he's gonna run you 30, 35+ minutes - regardless of how you're performing... His usual cop out is "letting guys play through it..."

But if you're a bench player... most often either your role gets cut or eliminated when the playoffs start - regardless of need (Trez). And if heaven forbid a bench player has a poor performance he's left to rot at the end of the bench - no more minutes for you!

He's so busy trying to boil minutes down to his best odds and trying to eliminate the potential for an underperformance that he creates losing situations... by overworking guys with heavy minutes, or not easing an injured guy back into the rotation cautiously (WB) and not even attempting to see if someone outside the standard rotation intervals can provide a spark when we are stagnant...

Great strategist for putting together a gameplan going into a game - but sucks when it comes to adjusting within the game...

I'll be glad when he's gone...

He's fools gold, folks - he will only take us so far before his rigid and stubborn nature results in opportunities lost...

but hey, maybe we can still 'have a season to cherish even without a championship' ....smh
