    I don't want to be like the 4chan mob (but from the left), but what is Rand Paul doing in a situation where he can be "mobbed" anyway?

    The way this works is that a loud group of protesters angrily heckling an elected official on a public street is abhorrent and threatening, but masked gunmen menacing legislators inside the state capitol is peaceful protest.

    I will most likely vote for Biden.
    If Trump wins, I blame the rioters and looters for inspiring the silent majority to get out and vote.

    Nicely sums up the de-escalation skills remaining in the tatters of our country about now. Strong work.

    Rand Paul is doing everything he can to escalate tensions of course. I don't know if any of these idiots (and I include the % of angry protestors as well) really think about how they'll back away from the ever-increasing extremity of rhetoric and emotion. Where do they think it leads? How do they anticipate it will go away? Truth is, they're not thinking beyond very narrow aims. For Rand, anything is worth the votes and Trump's re-election, from what we can tell anyway.

    The age of the amygdala lurches forward, drooling and crazy-eyed. The saddest times I think I've seen.
