Perhaps they could be tired, but other team are not exhausted as well? They had a long break, so I can't give them the benefit of the doubt about being tired. I tried to post on reddit about a month back regarding the coach over playing the players, and need to expand his rotation. Some other people were like naw, they just got a long break. So maybe these guys are tired, but the same could be said about other teams. They just take too many threes. When they aren't falling, the coach or whoemever is leading the team refused to encourage the other players to drive to the basket or get some ball movement. That guy Dort had like 5 fouls at the end of the 3rd. Harden continues to chuck up threes that were near halfcourt instead of trying to drive and make Dort foul out. What makes it even worse is he dribble down the clock then chuck it up. Everyone is just standing there and watching him, and the other team knows exactly what he is going to do. I figure Harden knew since CP3 play with Harden for 2 years. This is year in and year out.
There's only a handful of bigs that can do what poster described and they are premium players with a matching price tag.
This is what happens when you try to re-invent the game of basketball by playing small ball full time. Multiple guys playing out of position, they get tired, settle and jack up 3’s like they’re going out of style when nobody is a knockdown shooter. We don’t have a single shooter that’s anywhere near Steph or Klay’s level. Covington is definitely no Draymond. Even then the Warriors never went all in with their “death lineup” or “Hampton 5”. Whether it was Bogut, Mo Speights, Festival Ezilie, David West, McGee, Zaza or Looney they all got plenty of run and were key contributors to their success. It’s not MDA’s fault and it’s not Morey’s fault either. They really had no say. They did the best with the hand they were dealt when dumbass Tilman decided trading for Westbrick while mortgaging the future was a great idea. The only guy that could’ve possibly vetoed the trade and saved Tilman from losing his mind was Harden. Trading Capela and another 1st rounder just added insult to the wound but the damage was already done by then. Even if we manage to get by the Thunder this team isn’t a Championship caliber team. It never was.... healthy Westbrook or not. Worst part is we’re old, have no future assets , ain’t nobody touching Gordon’s contract and Covington’s contract which originally looked like a great value is looking quite expensive.
Some of you are already willing to give up? The series is a best-of-3 now; it's not like OKC just went up 3-0. Sheesh. "fans."
