Just saw it the other day finally, such a dope movie. Loved the visuals and the action sequences were amazing. Jamie Foxx did his thing as usual 8/10
For a Netflix film, it is decent. All the good guys (and gal) leads do a good job. Some of the bad guys were a bit cheesy but didn't get in the way. Action stunt work and special effects also good: scratched that action flick itch. The screenwriter, Mattson Tomlin, is writing Matt Reeve's The Batman (2021), elseworld Batman with Twilight sparkling Vampire Robert Pattinson. He's relative new on the scene, but if folks want to see what the dialogue / plot points may be like, this is a good appetizer. Hope he comes with more in the Batman flick.
I liked this movie more than I thought I would. Jamie Foxx and Jason Gordon-Levit were pretty good and I think their acting turned this into a slightly above average movie. Without those two it might of been terrible.
Is it really good or is it ‘Black Panther’ good? I thought Black Panther was ok compared to other MCU movies but any black folks I know who saw it thought it was a revelation.
Watched last night. It was OK IMO. Leads were all good, story was a little disjointed at times, probably due to editing for time reasons. The New Orleans backdrop and the girl Robin were probably the best part of it. I would say it was like one of the better XMen films. Which is to say, it would have been considered much better 20 years ago with those as a comparison. Now it’s just an OK super powers movie.
