Probably not as bad for you central-timers, but am I the only PT guy crazy enough to wake up at 2am to get my baseball fix?

The Wakes can never get enough baseball. Even at 5 am, on a tuesday, for a game between the Yanks and D'Rays.

    The good life indeed.

LMAO - the MFYs are actually losing to a team that total payroll equals the contract of A-Hole, er Alex Rodriguez!:D

SiaS is already going to fire some people after this performance.

I mean take off your MFY glasses for a second and admit that the MFYs thought they were going to have a cakewalk here. I could have sworn that the media had already anointed them to be the greatest thing since sliced bread and they can't even win their opener against a team that has 1/64 of their payroll. Sorry - but that can't help but bring a smile to my face.

Dude, I hate the Yankees too, but it's one game. In Japan. I think they're gonna be ok. No one expected them to go 162-0.

Are these real games that count?

Forget baseball. Baseball season doesn't start until September. It's NBA playoff time!!

Take off my glasses? OK Manny. I'll do that when you refrain from biting on everything the media spits out regarding the Yankees and when you lay off the annoying acronyms.

    :p

I never thought they'd have a cakewalk, nor do I think any member of the Yankees thinks that way either. The game has to be played, on the field. Anyone that goes into a game thinking they'll be able to cruise is just setting themselves up for failure. The only team I can ever think of that could be accused of having that mindset is the last US Olympic basketball team.

Also, who cares what the media regurgitates EVERY YEAR?? Oh yeah, Boston-fan does, because they don't have anything else to talk about.

I know, you can't help it. It must be hard for Boston-fan. It's only going be that much more painful when after such a promising offseason, once again your team fails to bring home the hardware AGAIN .

Apparently Boston-fan's math isn't too good. The D-Rays payroll(~$30 mil) is 1/16 of the Yankees payroll(~$181 mil).

    :D

I can already see it's going to be another fun baseball season on the BBS!

Clever move using bad math to get a rise out of a poster.

I don't care about the yankees or the red sox. I'm a little tired of hearing about both of them.

I feel bad for marlin fans. They won the WS and you never hear anything about them. Reminds me of when the Rockets won and all you heard about was the knicks and pat riley.

I caught most of it. It was nice to see the Yanks get lit up.

But DAMN, they're going to be tough. It's a freaking All-Star team.

Of course, it'll only make the Red Sox World Series title that much sweeter. :D
