Sucks, TT was pretty much perfect for us as today, a proven starter overall not very different from Clint in terms of skillset...welp.
He has been waived I believe. He is a good player when he is motivated.... he just isn't motivated often.
The chance of TT going to the Rockets was remote. He likely would have wound up in LA, LAC, Miami or Boston. TT is very motivated to live in LA.
If the ultimate move was to trade for TT, they should have just kept Capela. Tilman was right to block that move.
Ok. The trade deadline has expired. Recap: Rockets get: Covington, Caboclo and 2nd round pick. Rockets lose: Capela, Nene, Green and 1st round pick (!!!) In terms of market value, Morey's work has been pathetic and makes it clear that Tilman is not an owner worried about winning. If we think that Covington is more in line with the MDA style, the balance stabilizes, assuming that MDA will remain here for at least 2 more years. I still don't understand Morey's idea of giving picks as if they were glasses of water.
I was talking about a buyout, although i wouldn't have expect him to sign with us, and Nook pretty much confirmed he would've signed with an L.A team anyway so...it's actually better if he doesn't get a buyout lol.
TT was supposed to be an add on to that trade. He's basically a Capela minus, minus. Same problems. Glad Tilman nixed that addition (although he just did it for his purse lol)
