    HOU: Bryant, Bertans, Valentine
    WAS: Capela
    CHI: Troy Brown Jr

We'd probably have to give Washington a couple picks. As for why Chicago would do this? Well, they shouldn't. But they're dumb.

    HOU: Hunter, Bridges
    PHO: Parker
    ATL: Jrue, Capela
NOP: Parsons, Teague, Vince Carter, ATL unprotected 1st

We can finally go all small!

That's a pretty crazy PG rotation in ATL: Young, Holiday and Teague.

I really wish that the team was looking to go bigger instead of smaller.

Trade Nene and a second to Detroit for Markieff and sign Jeff Green. They do not NEED to trade Capela. A small ball line up is going to look so bad against the Lakers in the playoffs.

Teague would be in New Orleans, where they apparently want more vets.

Jrue would be playing alongside Trae to try to make up for Trae's unbelievably bad defense.

As for us - we would finally be able to surround Harden and Westbrook with good wing-sized defenders. And what's more - both Hunter and Bridges are young, so Harden can yell at them when he gets torched on defense! This is critical because if we lose Capela we lose the guy that the vets yell at.

That's my bad for not seeing Teague's name.

I posted this in Clutch's podcast thread.

    It makes some sense.

None of the three players really blow the top off but we save money and probably get better as a whole due to the change in style and need for space with pace.

Crowder and Clarke are guys without great measurements but make up for it with pure hustle. Clarke is in the first year of his rookie contract and is one of those older rookies so he is ready to get big minutes now. Crowder is like PJ without the insane wingspan.

Time Lord has freakish measurements, with a larger wingspan to CC so we retain some length in at least one of the pieces.

I think all three teams would walk away pleased with this trade.

Ftr I realize this would never happen, for several reasons. It's just the time of year where I like to come up with bad trade ideas.

The Nets leak is kind of funny because they initiated talks about DeAndre/Allen.

Hart for Markieff is probably more likely than just using TPE/2nds due to luxury tax concerns.

Was that reported elsewhere or something you heard ?

I really like Allen as a Capela replacement if he's traded , have mentioned that in multiple threads , he is essentially Capela .... on a cheap contract.

Wouldn't there have to be more to that deal? 'Kieff makes over twice iHart's salary 3.2 to 1.4. In addition, both teams are in the position of needing to lose payroll. Pistons are right up at the tax line or just over, and the Rockets are a few hundred k over.

This deal would have been great a few weeks ago, when the Rockets could have sent over partially guaranteed salaries, and a pick or two.

    I'm probably wrong.

No way an almost 30 year old Jrue gets NOP an unprotected pick.
