After Watching the Senior Bowl these are some of the guys I like at the Texans picks Rds 2-4. Rd.2 Kyle Dugger was my favorite player that I hope the Texans draft if available at 52. I also liked Jason Strowbridge DT, DE North Carolina. Rd.3 Darnay Holmes great speed and cover guy. Tackling needs work. AJ Green physical cover guy good tackler. Very talented guy Rd. 4 LB's Troy Dye well rounded LB, John Uche, great player good edge pass rusher and has cover skills. Short in stature but very agressive. Rd.4 WR's Antonio Gibson, Slot that's badly needed, played RB in the game but would be dynamic in the slot also has the Size/Speed to play outside at 6'2/200. Can KR/PR too. Van Jefferson will be a long time WR in ith NFL. He can play\either outside or inside. Not great speed but has good enough speed. Comparison would be Sterling Shepherd type WR. Thoughts?
Didn't catch the game but would love for the Texans to take a look at Devin Duvernay (WR - Texas). Moved inside to slot WR this past year and had 1400+ yards from scrimmage. Has good enough speed to be a deep threat but think he'd be a good fit playing underneath D-Hop, kid made a ton of big time catches on 3rd down throughout the season.
What round do you think he will go in? If he's there in the 4th he would definitely be an option since he can KR/PR. Definitely an upgrade over Carter.
Somewhere in the 4th or 5th sounds right, think he’d be a great value pick if available. He should test well at the combine, assuming he gets an invite.
The Athletic had Duvernay as one of the WR prospects the Texans should target for this exact role! Last year, they highlighted Howard and Scharping as OTs that the Texans should look at in the draft....
