Huh? You want MDA to actually coach.... I don't think he is capable of running plays to get guys like EG open looks.

For zone busting offenses it usually starts with the man in the middle. Other players can screen on the baseline, back foot cut, or screen for the corner 3 etc, the short corners are for the bigs who wait when the l defenders collapse on the guy in the middle or driving the lane no different than capela camping in the short when harden drives the lane. There needs to be more movement and constant attack of the zone instead of guys camped on the 3 line. Doesn’t make any sense.

EG has been out, its just PJ and the D leaguers out there. We are missing our 3rd offensive option. Everyone is having to do more in his place

Moveball movement .. . to get the ball back to Harden
    increases the opportunity for turnovers.

This is a team of specialists not basketball players. No need to run plays for 1-dimensional players.

A play is not necessarily designed for one player.
Rockets could use more Westbrook receiving off movement in the mid distance to attack the basket. Also could use him in the mid post while creating activity on the weak side like we did with Chris Paul and Eric Gordon. You won't see many designed plays for shooters because MDA thinks the best shot a shooter can have is stagnant waiting for the ball and facing the basket, and he can create those shots easily giving the ball to Harden and West. He could create some plays to facilitate the reception of Harden when he receives double teams or even for final ISO plays with some activity on the weak side to difficult help defense. Also, already said, optimize Russ's game attacking the basket in the mid distance. Gordon and House are overall complete offensive players proper and usable for different kind of plays as secondary options, since both of them read very well picks and screens, can attack the basket and shoot the bball.

We used to run stuff in the MDA/Harden era (2017). FYI - these aren't my vids, I just chopped up to smaller clips.

    Double stack pick n' roll

Double stack pick n' roll variation

    Double drag pick n' roll.

Capela fake screen, back screen for Capela lob

If Harden's resting on the bench and Austin/Russ/Ego are playmaking, we should definitely be running more plays.

    I don’t know, that wasn’t the question.

Hardens relationship with Houston is much deeper than MDA.
