    I cannot State enough how impressed I am with Capela, Chandler and Harty.

    Finishing the defensive set by getting the rebound and limiting second chance points imo is the key to this season.

    Those guys are beasting.
    Offensive rebounds are just gravy...good gravy.

    Keep it going guys.

    We're 11th in rebounding overall, 10th in defensive and 20th in offensive rebounding. This is solid for sure, but let's look at during the winning streak:
    3rd overall, 3rd in defensive and 12th in offensive rebounding. This is very impressive considering our midget team and definitely certain individuals deserve credit. It's no coincidence with Capela's and Tyson's increase of minutes our rebounding production has been better.

    I have a feeling MDA should get some credit for this

    Rebounding is secondhand chance for the team, and one less chance for the opponent.

    With our offensive power and work-in-progress defensive game, this is the difference between winning and losing.

    The difference has been Westbrook and Chandler. You can't teach length and athleticism.

    Definitely. He began keeping a real center in the game rather than sliding Tucker to the 5. He also modified the defense such that we aren’t switching our centers onto guards on the three point line as much. Keep a defensive center in the game at all times. Keep that defensive center in the paint as much as possible. It’s pretty damn obvious. It’s a proven method for decades.

    It was pissing me off how he kept going small the first few games.

    Raw rebounding numbers are misleading because we play at such a fast pace. Rockets are 19th in DREB% and 23rd in OREB%.

    This year is strange. The stats are misleading bc so many all stars missed the games in the west.
    It seems that clippers are preparing for playoffs too early.
    Clippers have bad stats, but will be good in playoffs.

    Credit Tucker as well, he has been a top 3 rebounder on team all season.

    Well, those numbers are not good at all, but we're seeing an improvement and you know under MDA and the midgets Morey signs we will never be great so I'll take it. Guess which championship team was awful at rebounding, dead last if I recall correctly? The 93-94 Rockets.

    I even saw Harden boxing out for the rebound once.
    Don't think I've seen him do that in the past 5 years or so.
    We are all in!

    Looks like we’ll have to pay Capela his $500k bonus for DREB%, this year
    • 2017 -> 30.8%
    • 2018 -> 27.6%
    • 2019 -> 32.2% (8th in League)
    Bonus Achievement Unlocked @ 30%

    We didnt have to be a midget team we have Capela, Chandler and Hartenstein all 6'10 and taller.

    Rebounding is def important thats why I'm glad MDA stopped his midget ball experiment and I hope to never see it again.

    As someone said. . . .Defense does not end until you get the rebound.
    I think giving teams one shot and done is the best thing in the world
