I’d be really surprised with his pitch count and possibly pitching game 4 if needed.

I think JV should be done.

Hand it to Pressly and Osuna if we can't pad the lead. Go ahead and get that first playoff game out of the way., plus they've had a lot of time off. Also keeps JV's pitch count sold for a potential game 4.

That's the difference between throwing and pitching. He didn't have his good stuff early but just battled through it...and here we are.

I think that's what they meant, although, geez, who knows? I mean, FFS, he's been out of the game for multiple innings now. How about talking about how Nolan is Justin Freakin' Verlander's hero and advisor.

I would let him pitch until the Rays threaten to score.

I think you've got to call it good with JV, and I think that's what they'll do. Also, just in case you need him in Game 4, best not to push it here.

Great BPs mean “jack squat” when you’re down 4 runs in the 8th but hey gotta fill time right?

Would love to see Alvarez have a good at bat to get back on track here.

The casual non Astro fan has to be thinking its 4-0 and they’ve droned on for a good 5-7 minutes about the Rays pitching
