And before anyone says "we are playing the Mavs", Luka was going off before Shump came in and he has made a positive impact on Luka one-on-one and playing good position defense.

It might be time to move Gordon back to the bench.

    1) in the 2017-2018 season he shot 26.9% on 3's. you posted "Shumpert has been a 36% 3 point shooter the last 2 years how is that shooting bricks?"

    2) don't ever accuse me of lying in this forum again pathetic ******* noob.

The recent trend over the past few years is to criticize a player not because of his past performance but based solely on the fact that they never seen the player play before. These people are more Rockets "fans" than true fans of basketball/NBA.

Mirotic would have helped us get the 2 seed quicker

lol Mirotic would have given harden more room and space to drive the lane on offense as a floor spacer. PJ Tucker is bricking everything lately, we didnt need shumpert FACTS

Breaking news, Mirotic is better than Shumpert! This is the kind of keen analysis that keeps me coming back for more.

My take on this was it was a punt to next year - a punt that got them under the tax … that is assuming they resign Shumpert allowing them to move either he or EG next season since they play pretty much the same position.

They made this move because they couldn't get the type of player we needed …. looking at you Memphis!

This buys you some maneuvering ability next season ….

Now if they don't resign Shumpert …. it wasn't a punt , it was a cost cutting fumble.

His best 3PT% season was really good, but it was 6 years ago.

His next best season is merely "decent". And his overall career average is easily *not* decent.

Rockets don't have many 2-way players. It's a shame because being good in one-way (offense) is simply being a "decent" 3PT shooter.

Shumpert looked very good tonight. CP3 giving PJ and Shump props for their defense.

Shumpert certainly fits a need for the Rockets. He is the only player on the roster that can cover certain matchups.

Shump with them dimes today! He helps move the ball a lot better than ennis ever did.

It’s his 2nd game in, he can only get better.

Shump's pretty good at 1on1 defense but he's team defense still has a lot of work to do.
