OMG, we totally dodged a bullet when he went to OKC. It's bad enough he's leaving after paying him the minimum, which we may recoup somehow in a trade (or at least dump on another team on waivers). But imagine being on the hook to pay 25Mil a year for this guy?

 

One can say that but he wasn't the cause of all the bad shooting by the rockets who knows what was going on in the locker room.

 

If Jimmy scores 75 melo might put down 100, on 40 of 100 shooting.

 

So if my understanding is correct, if we waive Melo and someone else claims him, his cap hit is off our books for this year. But if he clears then he still counts against our cap. Is that right? Is this why we're holding on to him for now, to find a landing spot?
