They're going to match whatever little money we can offer.

Would love to see Hood in Rockets uniform. Yes, he had some issues last year but he’s young and has shown to play well in the right system. He’s a pretty good 3 & D guy that can play in transition. And it’s not easy playing with James, despite being a great player. For all his greatness, James doesn’t make everything he aroubd him better. Love, for example, hasn’t lived up to expectations playing next to James. Hood started to show flashes of his abilities in the playoffs once he was given consistent minutes. I could easily see him excelling in MDA’s system playing alongside CP3 and Harden.

Lol, what can we offer to him? Minimum contract? Cavs will match that.

Maybe Morey whispering to Rodney: “hey Rodney, if Cavs decide to tank and you’re waived, you can join us and going to playoffs.

    PS: only minimum contract.”

Honestly, I am surprised the Kings have not made an offer on Hood. Dave Joerger loved that guy out of college.

Sources: Morey willing to pay minimum to all players worth above the minimum.

Both Rodney Hood and Korver would be a great fit.

Misdirection by Morey the magician. The real target is Kevin Love. He will unload Anderson plus some minor assets for this to happen.

I don't think so. It is documented that he has been after Rodney Hood for a little while now, and the guy fits our schemes pretty damn flawlessly.

Love will be better than Anderson, but he is unlikely to be a game changer. The Cavs are likely to ask Melton, and perhaps another 1st rounder or Clark in return. They are unknown today, but they have potential to add depth to the team with their youth and defense. I don't think the Rockets should go that route.

I don't think that the Rockets have the assets to acquire him, unless EG is involved. EG is far more mature and experienced than him. I wouldn't go that route, simply because Hood is more of a scorer than anything else. Melton can't take Gordon's position. He should try his best to become a backup to CP3.

    Great!

Melo takes 2.7 million and Hood takes 2.6 million.

The best you can think about

Gordon for the this year 6th pick, then Anderson/6th pick for Kevin Love.

Gordon/two future picks for 6th pick

We don't have any valuable young assets, they would love our future first round picks.
