It's just way too expensive to be worth it to me. Have to spend $10 to get in, then $30-$40 to get something signed per athlete, after waiting in line for who knows how long.
completely understand, i go to 5-7 comic cons a year, the pricing for sports autographs are very reasonable in comparison... I have a ball i need signed by a few members of the championship team i might try to make it by for. They do offer VIP which allows you to skip to front of the line.
The lines aren't really that bad, plus it's cool to meet some of the guys you've watched play for so long. It's probably cheaper to get the signature online but I like the experience. I have a Dream/Clyde signed ball that I plan to add a few of these signatures to.
I went a couple of years ago after not having been in a decade. It struck me how far the sports memorabilia market has fallen. It used to take up the entire George R. Brown and the greatest of the greats would be there signing. I guess for the most part, eBay and the internet fill in most of the need. It is still pretty fun to go.
