6 weeks for a groin injury? Somethjng smells fishy...he's being kept out of preseason purposely. It's pretty obvious money wants to keep this kid injure free and away from the camera.
Thanks for all the info on Capela. I still have hope and when you get down to it most championship teams need some sheer luck. Let's hope we hit the jack pot on Capela and Morey is just hiding him from the League. To me those videos sure look like a potential defensive star.
I'm pretty sure he had a fairly serious foot injury or something during camp for team Switzerland. Could be more than one issue going on they are trying to correct long term. I'm not their sports doctor or anything, but my guess is that whatever issues he's got with his lower body health are probably long standing, and their training staff are trying to correct whatever issues are going on long term. Back when I played, I had a foot injury that led to me overcompensating how I was running and that led to a hip injury which led to a back injury. The guy is going to have a long season going back and forth from RGV and whatnot. This is the time to correct all of those long standing issues and injuries so they don't plague his season.
August 13th, almost 8 weeks ago, the groin injury was reported. He left the Switzerland team because of the injury. Typical groin pulls take 4-6 weeks to heal. So he should be returning to training camp soon based on the official timeline and injury report. I'm excited about this kid. He has so many natural talents that you can't really teach. You can't teach hands, finishing, and blocking....just look at Yao. As good as he was, he didn't possess those "you have it or you don't" sort of talents. Same with Asik...terrible hands and finishing. Clint is so tall, long couple with quick, athletic jumping, good block timining, and a good blocking touch. By blocking touch I mean he does a quick pat block so it stays in bound and its clean and looks clean so he doesn't pick up a foul. Also his length with quick athletic jumping, he just casually decides to enter the atmosphere and then he's just there...hanging out...waiting to bring that alley oop down. Once he knows how to stay out of foul trouble with attack guards, I say plug him in. Who else is going to give you height & block presence?
Not bad. I haven't seen a 4, or 5 take someone off the dribble from the perimeter and drive to the basket in a long time.
Good interview. Hey at least he is confident. <iframe width="640" height="390" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/lS0QvMA3mbo" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
