Noel will be ready for training camp. He'll be a solid power forward/center.

Chandler Parsons/Thomas Robinson/Young Filler for #2 pick would work.

Nobody, not even an armchair GM, would ever trade the #2 pick for Parsons or Robinson. Parsons probably has the value of a lottery pick, while T-Rob may have the value of a mid to late first rounder.

T-Rob was the #5 pick in last year's draft, which was a lot better and deeper than this year's. His potential is still there. Throw in another filler if you have to... maybe Terrence Jones or D-Mo.

There's so many young centers in this draft that I don't think I would trade all the way up for the 2nd pick just to draft Nerlens Noel. Not to mention we still have Asik, who is one of the better centers in this league, and is barely entering his prime.

But with that said, I'm a big proponent of trading up for a young center in this draft, given our need for a true back up center. But the most I'm willing to give up is the PHX pick, Greg Smith and/or Thomas Robinson, which should be enough to put us in a position to target guys like....

Rudy Gobert, Mason Plumlee, Kelly Olynyk, Isaiah Austin, Gorgui Dieng, Jeff Withey and Steven Adams.

Maybe the Pistons, depending on who goes first.

He was guaranteed to go 1 before the ACL injury, now most mock drafts have him dropping to #2.

That's last year, before he stepped on an NBA court. Thabeet was drafted #2 and there was no way anybody would give you a top 10 pick after one year. #2 picks are worth way more than what the rockets can offer. Remember nobody would even trade #7 for Lowry + #12. That's just 5 spots for Lowry and nobody would do that. T-Rob is worth even less than Lowry was last year.

Parsons value is probably ~12, Robinson ~20. We can't get a #2 pick unless we throw in Asik and more young filler like TJones and Motie. THEN maybe we're talking. An Noel will almost certainly go #1.

So you want to sign Bynum and now you're trying to trade up to the #2 by offering too little and when there's a chance whoever goes #1 takes him.

    It would probably take Parsons/Asik/fillers.

    Would I do it? Yes.

Play Noel at the 4 and sign Dwight.

What idiot mocks are you following? There's absolutely NO ONE who can realistically challenge Noel for #1 this year.

Morey will only trade for Noel after he proves himself a bust.

depends on who wins the draft. Chad Ford projects McLemore to go no.1 for a few teams. some other guys may rise with workouts. this is definitely not like the Anthony Davis or Blake Griffin draft where there was no question who goes no.1.

if a team like Cleveland wins the draft though, Noel is safe.
