A short interview from McHale in regards to workouts. His honesty is refreshing & he is very matter of fact about things. <iframe width="640" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/VzWkFI4kIaE?list=UUl-5PGY5RMQ2q6u1lOdlD4g&hl=en_US" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Oh wow, he says Lin doesn't look 100% with the knee and has a ways to go. That's not what Lin's been saying, has it?
i think Kevin saw everybody are so much excited about our team. so he wants down to earth the expectations but the D-Mo interview yesterday was the more important when he had said that he is happy into a team with youngs and talented the trainings must have showing something really good
He could mean that Lin is in preseason form rather than midseason form. Lin is not likely to be trying his hardest in scrimmages yet since trainng camp hasn't even started.
Nice interview, glad he's always honest at least I thought it was a nice touch to add the following reason to work hard: "you get paid millions, you better work hard". He says he doesn't understand when people say it's not about working harder and stuff. Let's hope he doesn't think that's the answer to every loss / mistake. People reading too much into the Lin comment should look at the interview, it's nothing major.
I think we all knew Jeremy Lin is going to be a work-in-progress and has a lot of improvements that need to be made in his game. He can start off by getting healthy.
@ coachbadlee, can u elaborate this statement please? I did not follow the rockets before, but read about mchale relationship with players. Is this what u mean with this statement? If so, this is concerning.
What a difference a year makes--from overly optimistic to cautiously pessimistic. If McHale can come anywhere close to what Scott Brooks did with all his overachieving rookies, he will be 100% successful this season.
I think McHale meant that Lin doesn't look 100%, not that his knee doesn't look 100%. I think that he meant that Lin isn't in midseason form in general, not specifically talking about his knee.
Yeah, and he only played against non NBA players if i'm not mistaken prior coming to toyota center 4 training.not much a big deal.
McHale's first press conference. http://www.nba.com/rockets/news/kevin_mchale_press_conference__2011_06_03.html
No, i was just over-reacting. Lin stated in a recent interview that he had lost ten pounds. Maybe that has something to do with it.
http://www.nba.com/2012/news/09/28/john-wall-out-eight-weeks/index.html I am worried about Lin's health if he penetrates too much. He must adjust his style.
