If no injuries with T-Mac, Yao and Tracy would give us a championship already.
Look at Steve Kerr, he also being a narrator for many years.
    The world is changing!
Pls know that defense always can bring championship.
JVG is so smart, Look at what he did with the team USA.
Do not be so rude with him because of the last tenure , he is the perfect choice for the team.

Anyone on CF could coach Team USA to a gold medal. Because they don't even need a coach to run roughshod over the rest of the world.

And to that bolded point, I just have one question - why?

What? No! JVG never made it out of the first round because he did the same stuff that is stopping us now. No motion and no off ball movement. Tmac iso to yao or out for a three then yao Iso's or kicks it out for a three.
If you said give Rick Adleman a second chance I would say ok. JVG is best on ESPN!

Uh.. did you see the roster JVG worked with over time? I understand it was with zero NBA players there for a long while and in an important qualification period. In other words, he coached lessor talent so that the big names could show up once gold medals were on the line.

we have always needed Jeff's Defense but Rick Adelman's offense. We would have been able to win at least a couple of Championships by now.

No i didn't. I went to one of the games. Again! it isn't 1999. We hired the man because of that season and since then he and his fat brother have barely done anything in the NBA. One actually took a giant dump on the Pistons franchise by not realizing it isn't the early 2000's and and 1999 anymore. The only way I'll take one of the gumby brothers is if Morey actually with all his heart can guarantee a championship with this man as coach.

Nothing has changed. The league is going back to defense. Steve Kerr won a championship as being a commentator before, why not JVG? His ability is to defend well, and he has turned over a new leaf.

Really? So it isn't a coincidence teams like Bucks or Clippers didn't go anywhere with all their "defense". So No to JVG unless he reveals his offensive game plan to us all which is probably going to be dump ball to Harden.

Bucks and Clippers lost their games because they can not break Nuggets and Heat's defense.
Offense can bring normal season win.
    But not for the Off-season.

Gotta have the ability to do both and JVG can not do offense!

Somehow this has been repeated so many times here. While JVG had his share of injuries, both Yao and TMac were relatively healthy during his tenure. Yao was healthy in all of JVG's playoffs series. So was McGrady (except his first year when McGrady was still playing in Orlando).

It was under Adelman when the two stars were seldom healthy at the same time. And Adelman achieved better results than JVG. The only thing you can say is that JVG didn't have the benefit of Morey being the GM and his role players by and large sucked.

What injuries to Yao and McGrady are you referencing during JVG tenure with Rockets?

You may need to brush up on your Rockets history.
