Trump at his rallies not just spreading more COVID-19 in states like WI that are already suffering from another wave of the disease but more dangerously spreading more grievance and anger. Leading chants of "LOCK HER UP" about MI Gov. Gretchen Whitmer the same week that a plot to kidnap her was stopped.

 

And attacking America's election process is attacking Democracy.

 

This is a good way for people to not take the real issues we have seriously.

None of these things are happening at the scale of Nazi Germany and its a reach to try and correlate the 2.

There was no leader declaring his reluctance to leave power, Hitler was never at risk of being voted out.

There was also no gradual eroding of democracy it was ended pretty quickly.

I know you are trying to equate the immigrant detention to concentration camps but it does a disservice to the real things that were happening in those camps as opposed to what is happening now.

I am in no way coming to the defense of Trump but lets stop with the Nazi comparisons it does nobody good.

I’m hearing ALOT of excuse making from my Trumper friends the past couple days for voting for him.

But what’s amazing is not one person has told me they don’t think he’s horrible in every way (although I know they secretly love the guy).

It’s really tough to see this election not being really freaking close again in two weeks. I think Trump is getting more votes than we think... again because white men and man white women are who they are for the most part and it’s nearly impossible for them not to be sucked into Trumpism. I don’t get it but it’s a thing we have no idea how to overcome in our modern times.

I am a white man. I'm allowed to have an opinion on racial grievances of white people in America that shapes political leanings. If you are a Trumper and still think you can get away with acting all bent out of shape at the notion that Trumpism is tied to white racial grievances, then you are wrong. That shtick that is used to try and soften the arguments against Trumpism doesn't work anymore, and it never should have.
