If the bats continue to be hot then there is a good chance we can do it. If they go cold it’s over, can’t expect our arms to lock the Rays offense down.
Sometimes I miss the Astrodome when Javier and Urquidy are on the mound. Verlander too prior to TJ. Give those guys some defenders in the OF with some wheels and you would have seen some magic in the Dome. Though, MMP is a much better fan experience minus the plus of watching fly ball pitchers pitch with get out of homer free cards.
Hate to be Mr obvious but, IMO you want to be extra aggressive against their SPs, and be patient with their bullpen. Rays top 3 bullpen arms are filthy, you simply don't touch them consistently. Just watch what they did game 5 against the NYY, judge has no idea how he hit it, it was one of those I'm just a strong man type HR. The rest of the at bats were not even close, straight dirty. We have a better shot at scoring against Snell and Morton, and hope Glasgow has a wild day where he can't locate his FB. Of the 3 top RPs, Fairbanks went a little wild at times, but his stuff is so dirty that he still got out of trouble. The more games that are decided Bullpen vs Bullpen, the more we will lose. Having said that Astros in 6
The A's matchup scared me, and I preferred to face the Yankees bc Tampa's bullpen is electric, but this is the Astros, LET'S DO THIS!
How many Astros pass Reggie and Maris (currently 5th) on the postseason homer list this year? George is 1 back with 17. Correa and Altuve 3 back.
Have had a lot of games with out fans this season, but it's still so freaking weird for such a big game to be this quiet in the park.
