It may be better this way. Many analysts felt the drier day heat helped increase the HR's in LA last week. I would think day games in SD would have a similar effect.

Not sure the hate factor towards the other team is as important as it usually would be. The Astros have many other motivations, most notably showing the world that they can win without trash cans.

As for the pitching disadvantage, we just got to knock out their starters early and overwork their pen. If we can somehow keep our guys semi-rested and cause TB to wear out their guys, the pitching advantage is negated.

The members of the team who were here last year have more than enough motivation with it being the ALCS, and the fact they I'm sure many of them feel they have unfinished business from losing the WS in 2019.

Im turning 32 today. Best birthday gift ever would be a game 1 victory.

I feel like we’re loose, not playing with cheeks clinched (as I felt we’ve played a few times past two post-seasons). Team feels similar to the vibe of 2017 - to me that’s a good thing. Kinda all gravy - so **** it let’s play some baseball.

Agree with most of the analysis. This will come down to Stros batters vs Rays pitching.

Like with the A’s need that demoralizing factor of anytime they score we come right back and score more runs

Like so often happens, he reports what his audience wants to hear. Doesn't matter whether its true or not in such cases.

I think Astros fans have gotten a little oversensitive to this. Youtube era internet sports commentary has been full of guys just saying whatever they want for a good while.

I’d rather hear a take coming from the pitcher we face today

Yeah, I’ve never heard of him. Not surprised to hear this rhetoric.
