    This can't be said enough.

The pitcher with the greatest variance to mess up all plans (good and bad) starts Game 1 for the Astros.

I mean, maybe. I like his bravado though. We need more fire like that on this team. Can't just rollover and take the hate.

Which has exactly zero effect on what happens on the field.

best way to beat the hate is on the field and not with your mouth

You don’t know that. Players can be motivated by that stuff very easily. Just like my post gave you that little burst of motivation to argue with someone yet again. “Bulletin board material” is a saying for a reason. It was stupid to say what he said. Hopefully, it wont matter but it easily could matter.

Just be ok with being wrong. You’re always picking stupid fights you can’t win. Maybe go get some fresh air.

That Reddick shot was close. I don’t blame Dusty for not challenging. It was an out play and Reddick was still batting.

glad we’re getting on base so hopefully this portends something good

If the Oakland A's aren't already motivated to beat the Astros - both because they hate them and to work their way to a World Series - nothing Correa said is going to change that. And baseball is not a "motivation" sport. If you throw or swing harder than normal, you're just going to screw up your mechanics.

After what has transpired with the cheating within the organization and the talent that we have. I would love nothing more

sorry but you are wrong. Motivation can lead to better focus. Motivation is a big part of sports. When I played in HS, I played much better when my dad was at the game. Thats just one small example. Motivation can come from sources other than just the desire to win a game. Some players get up for certain games more than others. No need to provide a reason for the opponent to want to beat you even more. That said, great game Correa and great game Astros.

He’s doing a damn good job of backing it up. Keep talking CC. The man is on a mission and he’s letting everyone know. Nothing wrong what he’s doing if it motivates HIM and his TEAM which it appears to be doing. Theses are Big boy pro games and truly the be all end all is that the talent typically wins out. I like our chances. F@ck being “Texans Worthy”. Be the f@cking heel and kick their ass.

We still got a lot of non believers. Our odds are at least 50/50.

If they win 4 more games, yes. If not, no.

I dont think they can beat Yankees or rays unless their pitchers start to get tired with all the back to backs. If we had Verlander, osuna and yordan then I think we would have been the odds on favorite. Pressley is an elite set up guy but not a closer.
