    https://rocketswire.usatoday.com/20...dantoni-can-eventually-lure-james-harden/amp/

Some people within the Philadelphia 76ers reportedly believe that hiring former Houston Rockets head coach Mike D’Antoni could eventually lead to the Sixers acquiring superstar guard James Harden.

The potential link between D’Antoni’s hire and an eventual Harden pursuit was reported Thursday by John Clark of NBC Sports Philadelphia.

Harden can’t become a free agent until 2022 at the earliest. However, should things not go well for the Rockets in the upcoming 2020-21 and 2021-22 seasons, some executives around the NBA have speculated that Houston might consider trading Harden at some future point — if they fear potentially losing him for no compensation in free agency. As of now, Harden has offered no indication that he is unhappy with the Rockets.

If James Harden decides to leave to go to a team that has a chance to win a title, I will have nothing but love for him.

He has been the best player in the world the last 6-7 years and gave it his all.

Should the Rockets move on from Harden? What type of package would you want back from the 76ers?

The only reason I want to move on from Harden is because of Westbrook and that really sucks. Harden by him self is tied to that anchor. I like the guy as a person...but..man.....whatever lets just hope we get Aaron Baynes.

I anticipate Harden signs an extension this offseason and this goes away quickly.

Harden gets to pick his coach. He isn't going anywhere.

"Hey let's hire this coach because he used to coach James Harden and maybe he can convince Harden to force the Rockets to trade him.... to his former coach, so if Harden wins the Rockets look TWICE as bad."

LOL! I mean sure. MDA goes to Philly, they trade for CP3, Morey goes there and Harden goes there. Sounds good! Just replicate Houston in Philly.....SANS of course the shitshow ownership of Houston & #Tilman.

Remember when Durant was going to Washington to play with Scott Brooks?

Yes... and the rumors continued even after KD said he did not want to play at home.

I wanna see James win in houston but I'm curious if Morey would do a harden/Embiid swap ? Maybe next offseason.

Sidenote: I just think a different team gives him a better chance to win.

I agree however the Sixers are not a dynasty franchise.

One title can be had if they luck out.

LA makes more sense, it's home and they got the necessary resources.
