Base knock Cole doesnt seem to be getting deep into games lately either. Hes always at 100 pitches around the 5th inning, anytime Ive checked in on him.
Love the salty tears. I always enjoy how when a pitcher struggles he's gotta be tipping his pitches. The batters can't possibly be doing their job too!
His fastball is not nearly as dominant this season and his curve ball has been really bad. I don't know why Astros fans are taking pleasure in his struggles though. If it had to do with the post game seven interview, he was upset because, as the best pitcher in the world, he didn't get the opportunity to close out the world series for the Astros and instead got to watch our relievers blow it. I would have been upset too.
I'm gonna go way out on a limb here, but if I had to guess I'd say it just might have something to do with him pitching for the ****ing Yankees.
What Buck said. I mean for goodness sake, We as Astros fans, were hoping he would sign with a division opponent rather than signing with the gawdam janks.
That is ridiculous. How can they do that when they are spending those 5 hours trying to keep fans convinced how the NYY are the team to beat because Judge and Stanton are on their roster?
What he was saying is, the Yankees are so hated we'd rather he have signed with the Angels (the other team thought to be a front-runner) over the Yankees if is was between those two.
Has Jomboy or the national media figured out how to tie his 2020 struggles to Houston yet? Is Rona our fault, too?
There were only two teams that if he went to that I would have to actively root against him, and he went to one of them.
Pretty sure it was because he used that illegal pine tar in Houston and the squeaky clean Yankees don't allow that.
Not the media yet but Yankees fans are starting to mouth off that the Astros must have been cheating with Cole.
Cole's first 2 and half months last year had a similar look. Cole was the best pitcher on the planet the rest of the year. Yankees gave a mega contract for what cole did in the final 3-4 month in 2019. He wasn't always going to be that dominant.
