whats so valuable about tuckers skillset. defense and toughness are ok, but he is bricking WIDE OPEN 3's at an alarming rate and he cant put the ball on the floor. Its to the point now where i dont even expect them to go in anymore

 

they are gonna leave pj open and soft triple team harden until pj proves he make a few, which he hasnt done in the bubble yet

Look at PJ's playoff 3 point % the last 2 playoffs. He's earned our trust, and Jeff Green seems to be cooling down from 3. I think this series is going to be a hard fought series and Morey could get canned if we lose. I'd hate to see that. OKC scares me.

PJ Tucker has taken a lesser role in the offense since the Covington trade and that was to be expected. His job is to hit open 3’s and defend both the post and perimeter.

Tucker clearly hasn’t cared much the last 3 games of the bubble. It makes sense as the Rockets have been locked into their seeding and Tucker has gone through the motions (as did the entire roster tonight).

Tucker needs to start and he will... and he and Covington will get open 3’s and only need to hit 33% to be effective.... both are elite defenders and have to be on the floor.

What the Rockets need are guys that are more one dimensional like McLemore, House and Gordon to hit volume 3’s.

 

They are short on bodies, couple of guys are banged up.

It's the first playoff game, if PJ sucks shooting the 3, Mda, would be asked to make adjustments regardless.
