I know people are thinking if Max Kellerman or Collin Cowherd are worried. I just want to remind myself that my opinion is real and not paid.
Also I think only 10% realize that we have 2 MVPs. Someone has to mention that on ESPN or else people will forget, like how people forgot Jordan played in 1995 and lost to Orlando in the playoffs.
it will always be a travesty that wb won mvp over harden just because he averaged 2 meaningless rebs more than harden. An "mvp" on a 6th seeded team in the west with 47 wins and 10th record overall in the league is a joke. harden without a doubt should have multiple mvp's at this point. what a shame
MVPs are based on voters so there's nothing fan opinion can do. So based on the awards given. It's two different MVPs on the Rockets.
it's based on whatever media narrative is set that year, which changes basically every year. that year 2 extra rebs was much more important that literally everything else that contributes to actual winning basketball

No we don't Harden is the only MVP level guy left. Russel is so damned inefficient it is crazy....he needs 30 shots to get his 20 points.....how can a man be in the NBA that long and not be able to shoot the basketball? DD
sure it is but everyone knows that was harden's mvp, so in my book its illegitimate. and solely based off a silly media narrative and not truly earned. It wasn't awarded to the player who was most deserving. as far as I'm concerned this team truly only has 1 good for him averaging a triple double. he did it again the following year and won 1 more game. why didn't he win it? Oh yeah, bc the narrative changed and didn't work for him
I dont even expect him to shoot the long ball. But for christ sake hit the goddam FTs. How does a professional NBA GUARD shoot 5/12 from the FT line?
Buuuuut he plays so angry and he's so fun to watch and... he's better than chris paul at this point and he's just a great team mate and... blah blah blah.... We only have one true MVP on this team and the other guy we're paying 30 to 40 mil to is a non guarantee to show up like our 3 pt shooting.
We'll see if they can do anything in the postseason; anything beyond all the regular season personal stats, glory, awards. Can they win a championship? MVPs, scoring titles, triple-doubles, swag/schwag, pregame fashion show is "cool" but I mean... Then we'll blame Tilman, blame the refs, blame ESPN, blame Cowherd, blame the Warriors(oh wait, they're gone this year)...
