Bro you do know that school is a public school right? The tax payers fund that school. Secondly, it only serves at risk students, so basically the students are incentivized to fail. Third, its only two grade levels. The school is an optic for his brand. James Harden gives of his own money and time with his youth league teams. He mentors those young men and challenges them to get their job done in the classroom as well as on the court. He pops up at middle school tournaments and birthday parties, he makes promises and holds these young men accountable. He lives by example to show them how to handle the pitfalls of success and they get to watch him workout to see what it really takes to be great. LeBron is the fakest woke person I've ever seen. Everything he does is for clout. He wants to be Ali but he doesn’t take any controversial stances. LeBron doesn’t give a **** about black people, his side chicks aren't even black lol. You should've said Jalen Rose The rockets partner with hpd on numerous occasions. James knew exactly what the mask meant
Most people do not know what the mask was associated with. He wore that mask for some time in front of other players and the media before someone even recognized it. Harden has given a lot of money to charity, he has been a good citizen and works hard. He has nothing to be ashamed of.
FernTits providing food, Russ with shirts and James providing 'Thin Blue Line' masks to anyone who wants one.
When we say "Harden is the least political player in the league" it undercuts what he does for charity on the low without trying to get praise from media. I still remember Harden being the first person the donate a million dollars to Hurricane relief, but JJ Watt getting most of credit for the charitable donations he raised and not the money he donated (not that I'm comparing or saying JJ didn't deserve it, I'm just giving an example) Harden does things because he wants to do it and not because he is going to get something in return. he donates tons of money to charities then dips.
BlueLivesMatter was formed as a response to BlackLivesMatter. Some in law enforcement and others were angry that ******* dare question whether they were treated fairly by the police. So they decided to cry about how law enforcement (which have civil immunity) isn’t properly treated... which is an absolute joke... law enforcement is coddled in this country..
Not sure why some are going in on @amaru. You can want Harden to know more and do more with his platform. There is nothing wrong with that. I do think Harden does a lot; we just don't hear about it because he is not looking for cameras all the time to document his charity.
It also bothers me because there is an under current of people thinking the man is either stupid or just lucked into a successful life. I see it with black men, that unless they are a tireless firebrand with a degree from Harvard they someone lucked into success. No, Harden isn’t a political firebrand but he is exceedingly smart. A number of people that know him well have stated how shrewd he is and intelligent. Likewise he did not come from an easy upbringing. He is black in America, grew up with a father that wasn’t present and was in jail... numerous other relatives in prison... grew up surrounded by gangs.... and yet he has stayed out trouble, has been responsible, takes care of his mom, very charitable and an excellent businessman and a first ballot hall of Famer.
What is there left to say? You Can't Fix Stupid! And by stupid, I mean injecting yourself into a controversal soical-political discussion into which you are ill-suited to participate. If by now Harden still has no clue about the pitfalls of social media then he is as stupid as Dork Elvis. As for picking this mask simply because it "fit" his beard, if that truly was the case then all Harden had to do is have some masks custom made for himself - preferably with Rockets' logos. I'm sure he can afford it.
No he did not know what it meant and if he did it would be problematic. That symbol represents the warrior culture of law enforcement, something you don't want for a domestic police force that presides over civilians. Why the **** would a law enforcement symbol have a skull on it? No, that isn't the type of support for law enforcement we need.
