2 Big Hopes for Spring Training...

1. Everybody stays healthy
2. Young players step up and put up real fight for roster spots (Whitley, Toro, etc.)

Best time of the year IMO. BASEBALL IS BACK!

 

I'm trying to be excited but I can't shake the feeling of how bummed I am about this scandal. I'll forget and just focus on the baseball part eventually. I think I want to see them be successful knowing for sure they aren't cheating any more. I still love my Astros and always will...but I just hate the feeling that the success was manufactured and not natural.

 

I'm not here to talk about the past.

 

I hope he is a freaking stud. We need another solid top to mid rotation guy PERIOD

Absolute ****ing nightmare of an offseason

1. How does Dusty handle the press, both allowing the players to say their piece, but mainly deflecting enough of it away from them to have a productive spring. This will be job #1 for Dusty

2. Command for Lance...the toughest part about coming back from TJ for a lot of pitchers

3. Whitley....best thing that can happen is for him to at least force Click and Dusty to consider starting his clock. He needs to come out and let the world know 2019 is gone, he really is the stud everyone thought he was going to be, and he is worth saying forget service time for

4. Please God let Correa be healthy, and stay that way

5. Never, Ever, let anything going on cause you to forget....The Rangers Suck

 

Hoping that half the Yankees get suspended for lying for the inevitable investigation.

Finally, actual baseball to talk about.

let’s get it. The guys should be highly motivated.

 

Springer in a contract year (unless something gets done soon); Correa with lots still to prove with 2 years left; Yordon with a full year; Bregman in his prime; Altuve gonna Altuve; Tucker could breakout...this offense could be better than last year. Everyone from 2017 has a little extra to prove this year.

 

Yeah not getting talked about AT ALL are 2 things that could be historic: 4th straight 100 win season, and potentially the best lineup of all time (although I wish they’d done more at catcher).
