Philly got a lot of quality trade assets we lack of and covet.
(feeling jealous of their team D and length)

It's hard to argue against any of their points regarding the Rockets. Our roster is what it is. So is our transition defense. We do employ several fringe NBA players. No one (outside of Houston) is even blaming D'Antoni.

The main issues with this team are becoming more and more obvious to anyone paying attention. If we don't have the nads to pull off a big trade and improve our roster, then that's on the front office and ownership.

rockets don’t have enough talent around harden and that’s the issue. And they don’t have the means to add talent around harden. They simply gave up too much for cp3 and then gave up too much in picks for wb.

rockets are stuck in good but not great no mans land

    Can't disagree.

Rockets asked for this with how they managed the roster. The last 2 years of moves have been essentially malpractice. It is what it is.

CP3 trade was fine, WB trade was disastrous.

If we had kept Ariza, used our MLEs, not used assets to duck the tax, and used those four picks from the WB trade to add to the talent around Harden / CP3 we would be sitting pretty.

We had a 65 ****ing win team. 65 wins!

Every bit of this comes back to Tilman Fertita. Its not Harden, or Morey, or Dantoni.

He just sucks. The absolute worst kind of owner. Meddling and cheap.

Had the owner not had a dollar store mentality we could still have added a ton of talent. The CP3 trade wasn't a problem at all. The Westbrook trade was, but if we had done a a million other things even that wouldn't have been too bad.

    We could have paid Ariza

We could have held onto the Anderson contract (and the 1st, and Melton) and probably added a fringe all star level talent with it this offseason.

We could have paid House last season and gone over the tax, and then had our full TPMLE to add players.

We could have not traded for Westbrook and used those picks and Gordon to add another great players to Harden/Paul.

Even after the damn Westbrook trade we could have taken salary with him and paired that with our remaining picks to add something.

This POS owner has submarined an all time great team at every turn and it's f**king infuriating.

years down the road, the rockets will go down in history as having one of the worst owners who came in and destroyed a 65 win championship caliber team in the immediate years following

Tilman wouldn't pay for a 65 win team with Morey and Harden in the fold.

Just wait until those guys are gone and we are rebuilding. You think he's gonna pay to take on bad contracts for assets? You think he's gonna pay for 2nd round picks? You think he's gonna pay for good coaching staffs?

It's going to get real bad in a few years. Real bad.

It's pretty obvious it will, we're gonna be the Sterling era Clippers.

I would rather be surprised by the meltdown, at least I could have some hope. Knowing that it's coming casts a pall over Harden's last years.

    Synopsis:

Tillman tried to be the GM. Wanted to win without paying the cost to win. The Rockets are now stuck and their GM has been neutered.

Tillman doesn't care, it is his team and he can do whatever the hell he wants.

Oh gal, I guess the 65 win team was borderline great but you can't be referring to it as if we won it all.

This be like the golden standard for now, what about the B2B championships?

I think he might actually be HAPPY the team isn't doing well. I worry he'll use it as an excuse to fire Morey, and pretend it had nothing to do with the Tweet.

just imagine, if we can all see what this tool Tillman is doing in neutering Morey and penny pinching the roster as he has the last two years, what the star players on this team must be thinking watching this cheap ass blow hard run his mouth and do absolutely nothing to advance the team on a path towards a championship. Tillman will go down as one of the worst owners in NBA history and once Harden and Westbrook start chirping to get out of here in the next 2 years and finally force their way out, this teams prospects under this clown are going to be about as grim as it can get.
