TIL small ball means you can't have rim protection, and a small player is in reality a 7 footer.

Yeah of course you can't put any 6'7 guy at the 5 and expect the same results.
Who said that small ball can work with any personel out there?

If so all centers would have been forced to retire and there would be only 6'8 and under players in the league.

We need DMo, at least he is 7 foot. The coach should've stuck with the rotation he had in the first half.

I've given up on D'Antoni. He is a solid coach, but I have given up on him being a true championship winning coach. Dude is just embarrassing in his game management sometimes and is out-coached in the playoffs every year.

So you agree that this Rockets team can't win with small ball?

Small ball is what had us on the brink of winning a championship and it will be key against some matchups, but Milwaukee is definitely the wrong team to try to run PJ at center against. Their only offense toward the end of the game was Lopez postups which worked almost every time

Small ball can win, but not the way we play it, and not against the Bucks. The fact that MDA watched that game literally slip away while he had Chandler glued to the bench is mind boggling. There was a stretch where we were outscored like 26-9 between the 3rd and 4th quarter, and he did nothing. I'm so sick of watching him stand there with his hands in his pockets, then put on that angry face and throw fists during mandatory TV timeouts. ****ing call a timeout before that, break up the pace, and make a goddamned adjustment.

They can win. Depending on the opponent.
You can't expect Tucker without a double team to defend against a specialised post player like Brook Lopez or someone like Jokic or a beast like Embiid.
But against some of those unskilled footers who can only dunk then yes. For example Gobert.

It wasn’t an All-star lineup in 2015. Curry and Thompson were the only two. Point is everyone makes statements like “blank will never win a championship” or “This style won’t win a championship” eventually those narratives are proven wrong. It’s happened countless times in professional sports.

Worked pretty well for us 2 years ago. We just don’t have any wing depth, Tucker can’t be the only one in small ball

Can we convince Mirotic to come back to selfish NBA? We need a stretch BIG badly if we gonna play small.

Agree that was unbelievably frustrating, perhaps since Tilman played games with him on his contract extension he has simply decided as lame duck he is going to just play out the string and not really try very hard to coach. (Not that hard for him to do really). He literally just watched them fumble and falter through possession after possession and did nothing to try and stem the tide. That loss last night was on him, Harden and Gordon.

Playing a 6'4 guy against a 7 footer is never going to end well. This team needs to add size. You will never win with a front line of 6'9, 6'4,6'4 and that's when CCapela is playing C. When Tucker's playing center they're guard like on the front line.

Lets not act like our small ball is anything like the gs lineup either. Draymond and iggy are actually playing their correct positions and kd is 7ft tall. Now compare that with our 4 guards and pj tucker

When he's not hitting his shots, Eric Gordon literally gives us nothing at the 3 spot.

Bruh they underperformed why only 3 rings with 2 mvps and 4 all stars? They should have broken the win record and swept the playoffs every year.
