Opened with an ace looked super sharp first game...

Meanwhile Djokavic serve is off, missed a ton, double faults already

Always rooting for Federer. There's just something inherently likable about the guy. Can't exactly say the same for Joker and Rafa.

Yeah, but he gave everything that he had, he is almost six years older than Novak. Federer should be proud of himself. If he was 3 years younger than he is, I think he would win. He still is the GOAT in my book. I like Novak too.

You know, funny enough I think this statement is false. Fed 3 years ago wouldn't have had his reinvented backhand, and though his backhand wasn't as great as it was in Australian open 2017 today, it was still significantly better than before his injury. He was also more patient, and found patterns that really worked against both Novak and Nadal.

The man is a better player than he was 3 years ago. Now, if you said 2007 Fed I would have to agree, the athleticism and belief that that Fed had would've have powered him through the big moments and tie breakers today despite the slightly inferior skillset.

Fed looks like he's done for the season. So many unforced errors. Dimitrov is pushing him to the limit.

Monfils is the most frustrating player in the history of tennis.

Schwartzman, the German Argentine, rallied in the first set, but in this game of attrition, Wedgie picker has poured water all over that.

It's almost as if Nadal is toying with him. Multiple early breaks to take control of the set, let Schwartzman spend lots of energy trying to even the set, then turn it on and complete the set. Credit to Schwartzman for not folding. He's playing a great game, but Nadal is on another level.

I am reminded here why women's tennis is a complete and total joke. Williams getting ass handed to her, has a bit of a rally and the crowd loses their ****. An ounce of self respect and they'd temper their embarrassment, but they don't have it.

It was never too fast, Williams wasn't winning even a set here, she was thoroughly outplayed.

Hard to believe that Federer might not even retire all time champion. He's got two ancients on his ass. Neither which I could have ever imagined this close to his number.
