Yea if you click on the game recap you’ll see it. Duh. Nothing mentioned on the headlines. If the Yankees did this they cream their pants

If the Yankees scored 10 runs it would dominate Sports Center. The Astros are actually kicking so much ass that it doesn’t matter if national media is giving them love or not. If you read opposing teams’ boards, they all have a ton of respect for what the Astros are doing. We don’t have to get defensive about media coverage like we do with Harden MVP chases or Texans champio..... well no, nevermind.

Oh, they're going to cream their pants when the Yankees do something later this year. But it's going to be chocolate cream in the back of their pants when the Yankees lose again to the Astros in the playoffs.

The Astros get tons of love from the national media.

The Rockets get an unfair amount of **** but the media has a lot of respect for the Astros.

They hardly talk about baseball nowadays. Oh well, I don’t mind as long as we are taking care of business

What a weird thing to complain about. Is the fact that Cincy's rookie that hit 3 bombs does on the front page some Midwest bias?

If there is an annoyance it is that NFL dominates their coverage, and the season isn't starting until next month.

I don’t visit ESPN much, but I can admit that with it being football season, well Football is ESPN’s bread and butter. Baseball isn’t as hip a sport to be their main focus. It’s there, but can’t really market it beyond the America's (north and south) and Japan. Football is a religious experience to a huge portion of its fan base, so even though it doesn’t sell worldwide, it’s a worthwhile effort to milk it here in the USA.

With that said, the Astros get a lot of National media attention and are gaining a massive national following. The Astros are built without any real weaknesses. There is a lot of admiration for what the Astros have built, so now they have to keep winning and cement a dynasty....

I don't understand why people care about what the media things, especially ESPN of all places. Truly mind boggling.

People are way too obsessed on these boards (both Astros and Rockets) with the National media and trying to push the narrative we’re “disrespected”.

There were so many articles after the deadline with reporters and analysts giving us A LOT of respect while calling out the Yankees for doing nothing. We have plenty of analysts on our bandwagon since the beginning of last year. We had 6 All Stars and our players continue to rack up awards...

So yeah don’t see how we are disrespected. As far as what is displayed on the home page of ESPN, they have limited space and they display what will get them the most clicks. There’s way more Yankees fans than Astros fans across the US...it’s not rocket science as to why they are put on the home page more often than we are.

And when you look at the popularity of the NFL vs. the MLB it’s a pretty obvious decision to dominate with NFL coverage over MLB.

Unfortunately the MLB has done itself no favors the past decade or so, their marketing decisions/strategy especially with social media were awful and IMO is a big factor in youth not being as into baseball as the other two major sports.
