Let’s be honest; it’s all about hitting shots,” Fertitta said.

I can’t stand the man—too smug. Why does he think everyone cares so much about his restaurants? Their success is not proof he knows how to run an NBA organization. I’ll give him a chance to build a championship team but really hate his interviews.

Buying a Boeing 767 will provide the Rockets with a very comfortable wide body jet for the team and staff to travel on. Not bad.

To put it into perspective, the 767 is jet that the Patriots own (the Pats have 2 of them that sits in PVD airport).

Like the fire but who does Tillman think he is fooling with the luxury tax BS? We used real assets to duck under the tax this year. Annoying that he can’t just admit it.

We all agree that the repeater tax is worth avoiding. Just be honest about that

I can't even read this crap. Tired of hearing what we are going to do. Keep your mouth shut and make it happen.

He said that last year and he then decided to tank the team's chances at maximizing the roster because he wanted to save money

It's a good interview and I certainly like some of the stuff he said. Wanting his team to play tougher. Lamenting the loss at OKC in the regular season finale. I can only hope this mentality trickles down to the coaching staff and players because I have serious doubts that they think that way.

But spare me the "I was willing to pay the luxury tax" nonsense about last season. It was quite clear from all the moves made by Morey(trading for Shumpert, dumping Ennis, leaving House in the G-League for months) that he was under explicit orders to get the team under the tax by any means necessary. Now Tillman ain't lying when he says they were possibly gonna be over the tax anyway. If Capela doesn't injure his thumb and keeps making free throws at the clip he was during the latter half of the season(at least prior to the playoffs when he started sucking at the line again), then they very well could've wound up being just over the tax. Management "lucked out" on that one. But Tillman is full of crap if he expects anyone to believe that he wasn't trying to slash costs.

Well, there's no reason to follow closely.

A delusional 5 star busboy runs the Houston Rockets.

D'Antoni coming back. The window's closed unless they get a massive amount of talent to offset the suboptimal strategy/coaching.
