Listened to it. Not sure what to think. Great podcast crew though. Fieg/Creech/Solomon.. that's hard to beat. (but Clutch does it regularly! So does the Cat! But still love our writers out there)

Take him out back in the woodshed with a shotgun in hand?

What’s annoying is that he was amazing in game 6.

That kind of effort in games 1-5 and we would be pounding Portland right now.

Because 1-5 were so close with him not showing up. Game 5 especially, which was arguably the worst game of his playoff career. If we had elite play from CP it's easy to imagine us winning either 1 or 2, and then game 5, so game 6 never even happens.

if cp3 playing amazing in a game they still lose to GS shorthanded well, I cant really buy him not playing as well as the reason the rockets aren't playing now

I don't like talking about "the reason" and "not the reason". There is no "the reason" a team loses a game, there are always a million reasons. Harden could've made more shots, could've had less turnovers. Could have passed better. Other shooters could have made shots, maybe Dantoni could have played House. Maybe Gerald Green doesn't go 2-7. Maybe Clint looks like an actual NBA player. All of these are things that could have made us win, there is never only one reason. Any of these going a different way could have lead to a rockets victory.

All I'm saying is if we got game 6 CP3 or last years CP3 in games 1-5, I think we win the series 4-1.

I mean i could do the same. if harden would of closed the games out in 5 and 6, the rockets win the series 4-2

Being old doesn’t rob you of your peak performance. It robs you of your consistency night in and night out. He’s still capable of the big games, but he’s probably not capable of the big series anymore.

Well he better work on his catch and shoot 3s because if he cant have a big game, he better be able to at least hit open 3s regularly.

I want Chris Paul gone. Period. Having said that, Capela is a bigger reason why we lost the series.

let's just put CP in a fridge and activate him for playoffs only.
we have no problem getting into playoff with only Harden and maybe someone from free agency.

Wrong. Game 1 -5 were tougher match up for him. G6 he faced their bench which is always going to be easier.

When the Warriors only played 6-7 guys, CP could not do it due to him not being his old self anymore.

Paul plays good basketball at the age of 34. He is fine if he makes 20 million a year (as he is worth).

If Lakers or Clippers add KD, ......

Bucks, Raptors, 6ers and Celtics look great to me this summer. They have young assets.

A lot can also be said about EG starting instead of being the 6th man now. Most of CP3's assists come from Gordon. Now that Gordon is starting, when cp3 subs in for harden at the end of the first/beginning of the second, he doesn't have his sharpshooter/playmaker nearly as long as it was last year.

EG is so good that he can thrive in either the starting/6th man role anyway. But when cp would come into the game last year with him, they swung so many games open for us. It's true that cp3 can't replicate the iso efficiency that he did his first year with us, but he and EG clearly have shown strong chemistry.
