James has become so good that he can sneak an extra step by the refs, flail his arms out to draw the contact, purposely try to land on the defenders foot, AND STILL MAKE THE SHOT! BUTTER!!! :D

He picked up his pivot foot and took an extra step. Definitely a travel.

The people that think this is a travel is WRONG.

If they would stop focusing on his feet and start focusing on when his hand touches the ball they would see it.

For some strange reason people think you are supposed to take a dribble per step THAT'S NOT TRUE. The person dribbling can take two or three steps between dribbles if they want.

People look at the fact that he's moving backwards and think that means he's traveling.

Just look at his hands, it's NOT travel until two hands are on the ball.

Harden has mastered the act of dribbling backwards with his off hand close.

He then "gathers" and takes two steps back.

I WISH ONE OF THE SO CALLED GENIUSES AT ESPN OR TNT WOULD POINT THIS OUT!!!

But of course that might piss off Nike

Yea Coach Nick is a biased as *** and a warrior nut rider. He tries to pretend he's not but it's low effort pretending.

Lol so angry. And what you just said is incorrect.

Smarter people have called it a travel and I see it as a travel. It’s no big deal since it wasn’t called and we won.

No, James merely mistimed his footwork. He has possession of the ball and shuffled his feet as he’s stepping back. He usully doesn’t travel on his step back, but he did this time.

Harden's stepback is so controversial even CF spends the entire night arguing whether its a travel or not.

It was so close that the refs didn't call it, so not a travel. Real Rockets fans believe this and the haters and trolls bring up travelling. You are in the latter group apparently.

Really don't care if it's a travel. Rocket fuel is thicker than water so my bias is in favor of James. We won't get any mercy from the media whether we win or lose anyway.

How can anyone tell when the ball was gathered (ie. both hands were placed on the ball) based on the angle in the OP? His hands aren't shown in that view at the moment of the gather.

Having said that, if I had to guess I would say it was a travel.

Lol....Apparently you missed my “real rocket fan take” of “it was a travel, but who cares we won”....

Real Rocket fans do call out and criticize their players because they want them win.

Not angry but it is difficult to talk to people who dont understand the gravity of what they say. What you say in the eye of haters and journalists will be repeated and used to make a case against Harden. Thats annoying considering that you're wrong. Also those "smarter people" apparently dont include the refs who im just guessing know a little more about NBA rules than they do.

Wow! You pointed out a travel, you must feel so unique and special! All you accomplish by that is playing your part in the negative narrative against Harden. Go back to the D&D.
