Shumpert is going to help our defense get back to where it needs to be.

Once Capela comes back we are going to be a tough team to beat.

Considering he's been with the team about 72 hours so far, are you really surprised by that?

Shump is just so much smarter than Ennis.

Shump plays 101 text book defense. There no gambling like Ennis or Brewer just nothing flashy but solid defense.

Brewer is the only man that can stop Harden tho.

I'm still holding out hope for House. Even if it's just a 1 year deal, I think it'd make him a trade commodity especially if he comes up big in the playoffs, which is what he's counting on, and what the Rockets should be counting on if they really want to go far.

With House, you'd have Shump, Rivers, and Green as your four headed hydra. With them, you're counting on each to get you 6 points minimum, but you're hoping one of them goes off for 15.

    So Harden with 36
    CP3 with 17
    Capela with 17
    EG with 16
and your 4 headed min contract hydra monster with 30 minimum.

That lump sum gets you 116 ppg. Not quite GSW 119 PPG good but that's excluding your garbage points from Faried and the rest of the bench.

Like tonight Shump and Rivers went off for 6 and 7 points respectively. That's a normal game for them. Tonight, Green went off for 19. Throw in House and you got an extra stretch 3 that can at least get you 6 minimum but be another 15 point threat on any given night. We need that kind of production from these guys especially if they're going to beat the likes of the Warriors and the Sixers/Raptors/Celtics/Bucks Finalists.

Like his defense. Shot selection could use some work.

To be honest, I got sidetracked in the second half. I checked Bleacher Report twitter feed and saw Clutchfans tweeted the Rockets were up by over 20, therefore they were going to make it a nail biter in the 2nd half with an enormous collapse at half time. Clutch called it before I even really got a chance to check the second half.

From what I did catch, the biggest differences were the Rockets made more turnovers in the second half. I believe they only had 2 or 4 turnovers in the first half. They had 12 total which is pretty good for them, but that means at least 8 to 10 were in the second half. Not good. That's plenty of opportunity to cut a 20+ point deficit into a lead.

Plus, the Rockets weren't getting the same defensive stops as they were in the first half and they weren't making 3s in the same volume. There's a bit of truth to what Paul George said when he knew the Rockets would give the Thunder a chance to comeback. When the 3s are dropping, the Rockets are capable of beating the Warriors. When they're not though, they're just as mortal as any team, especially when getting stuffed by drives in the paint. I do think the Rockets would have won with a healthy Capela on the floor. As much as I appreciate Faried's play in lieu of Capela's absence, the Rockets are sorely missing his presence on both ends of the court.

Good defense but need to communicate better on those switches, especially with Gerald Green.

Also shot is broke as hell. Don’t know if he’s worth what he’s making but time will tell.

Gerald Green struggles with all defensive rotations and switches, that isn't on Shumpert.

I love Green as a fan, but his defensive IQ is a disaster. I can't for the life of me see him in a playoff rotation unless there are injuries. We will convert House and/or hopefully sign Morris to piush him out.

Easiest way to look at this is that he is better than Ennis. No need to complain about this one.

He is our only passable or good defender on faster guard outside of CP3

    Seriously?

Green just had 19 and 6 on 62% 3 pt SMH. Stop overrating House wtf!

Quit acting like House is Kawhi Keonard on D and Kevin Durant on O he isn't a major upgrade from Green esp the way Green has been playing the last few games.
