are we just gonna ignore that Ennis is some sort of quasi-marginal role player hovering over the ambiguous boundary of fan love and fan hate?
It's weird because his stats are very similar to House's but seems to have far less impact. He's the veteran and House is the one on a two-way contract. I'm not going to complain too much about a guy on a minimum contract, but I thought he would fit in better.
last few times we have opened positive vibes threads for people they were comppletely out of the league soon after lol. Ryno, brewer, Carmelo...just saying
Ennis doesn't need positive vibes . I like Ennis , I think he can be really good for us . But he hasn't figured it out yet . He's not in control . He's not on the defensive rope . He's consistently late on closeouts and consistently makes mistakes . The good news is that MDA likes him so he's getting plenty of PT to figure things out . Veteran's preference ? You know damn well if Clark or house make a mistake like Ennis they are getting their ass benched
Lite Brew is still Brew. Thats like saying my dog only laid a half ****, doesnt stink as much still ****.
The only bad thing about Brewer is that he was awful at shooting. I'll happily take Brewer with a shot off the bench.
The thought was he'd be a good transition scorer. Best case scenario I was hoping him and MCW would push the pace of our bench unit and get some quick buckets. That didn't happen, but now we have House who is in the 95th percentile in transition scoring I believe? Also Ennis is averaging 4.7 fouls per 36, and a lot of those are shooting fouls. He also likes to gamble and gets blown by too easily because he's given up position trying to swipe a steal. House is just more disciplined.
