By rule. it was the correct call to give it to Covington. Watt wasn't in contact with Mariotta when he went down while another player was. No big deal though, JJ came back with a TFL on the very next play.
I don't think it can be oversold the fact that this team scored 24 unanswered after going down 10-0. This team's mental makeup is built for the playoffs.
Maybe but seemed Mariotta was struggling for his balance enough after Watt's contact. Watt effected that play hands-on more than 50% easily IMO. The TFL is cool, get more. Get sacks too. DPOY needs stats. Watt is 2nd or 3rd but definitely behind Donald.
Easy read on the blitz and a great 4-1 conversion by Watson. Think of what this team could do with 2 stud OL/OTs....
He can have it long as Texans blowout and Watt sacks. This deficit should yield plenty passes for Mariotta fumble opportunity.
