MDA can't win a champion, no detail training

I agree with you. I don’t think he drew up a play all night.

    Part of the problem.

if he doesn't waste that time out, the Harden foul would never have happened because they would be at the other end of the court

at this point d'antoni is what he is. he's been coaching for almost 30 years. he's not gonna learn from anything. he's stubborn.

just gotta hope we get the best of d'antoni and the players can overcome his deficiencies as a coach in the playoffs.

yup it's hard for an old coach like MDA to change his bad habits, he's been doing like this for too long, it's in his blood now.

What was Dantoni supposed to learn tonight and do differently?

I just can’t believe we don’t have a stack, box or off ball screen anywhere in our playbook to inbound the ball. That’s literally basketball 101.

Call time outs when needed, call offensive plays, actually have inbound plays.

A full, healthy roster, MDA is an offensive savant.
A depleted roster, MDA can't coach.

There are glaring adjustments missing from a team aspiring to be champions. Unless, it was 13 in 33, this game should have been a win.

Both timeouts were needed at the end of the game to redo inbounds plays.

He has the GOAT offense, not sure play calling is a weak point. Maybe it didn't look like it because we were missing 3 of our key pieces.

We have plenty of inbounds plays, we have done hundreds of times. For some reason, Tony Brothers decided that shove offs were going to be called this one game.

The last 4 inbound plays involved zero motion. Just force the ball to James under pressure. I would have liked to see an inbounds play.

I think that if you watched the last 100 rockets inbounds from that same positioning, you would see the exact same thing, except with no foul calls.

You would also likely see an actual true PG who has the quickness to make those motions. Without CP3, and with Weber unplayable, the Rockets did not have that.

Then that’s part of the problem. Way too predictable. We have to have other options if the whistles get swallowed or we aren’t getting a fair shake.

    Can only plan so much.

    I think you are over-reacting.

I don’t think so. A simple stack on the wing and we could have easily gotten the ball to a top FT shooter.

Our defense has been absolute trash in the 5 game losing streak.

Every team has shot lights out from the 3 point line against us during that stretch.

Sack the defense coach that is stealing money.

Wait... We're #2 seed & our team has key injuries and you guys want to fire the coach? Last time I checked we lived in Houston not Memphis. "Take that for data"
