Is this about cops and his speech, or about this death?

About cops and profiling, much has been made of that. Its not so "black/white", but you're forced to pick a side of "Cops Suck" or "Respect COPS!" which misses the point. To me its seeing if cops need more training like they do in some countries so it lessens relying only on brute force when other measures might be effective.(But then that would lessen police force, not a good thing either)

On the death, just stupidity and senselessness of man. I'm no apologist for females, but its overwhelmingly men doing it. About time men in this country stop with culture of gun aggression to handle matters. (Or stop getting into bad lifestyles were gun use is needed)

 

Expectations for cops so high, yet compensation still so low........

People expect so much from police! They get **** for everything they do, or dont do. If having a gun pointed to their face, citizens expect a police officer to just stand there and get shot dead. If a police shoots to save his own life, its murder.

A young boy in Furgerson robs a store and is confronted by a police officer. He beats the living **** out of the police officer and tries to take his gun and puts his hands up to give him a more beating that could possibly kill him or cause serious injuries. Officer has no choice but to shoot and now loses his job.

It seems like us citizens would rather criminals walk the streets with no no recourse for their actions.......until something happens to you.

We can say not all criminals are bad. There are some good criminals. People who commit robbery are not all bad. People who assault people aren't bad.

I don't get america sometimes. It seems like people make issues of blacks and whites. You dont see the indian people, asian people, russian people, european people in the news concerning race that divides our country. News media loves Controversy because people love reading that stuff. Ive seen plently of racist black people, and ive seen white people. Everyone who calls white people white or black people blacks already segregated themselves. As long as we continue to categorize ourselves, there will always be racism. Some people just dont appreciate people who does so much for them.

This wasn't downtown, this took place on the South Side of Chicago.

 

Here we go..... Every race or color commit violence toward each other, white on white black on black brown on Brown and so on. The problem is the people who are sworn in to protect us (Cops) are killing unarmed black people. And please don't give me the "they are scared", cause most of the cases the black person was unarmed, handcuffed, on the ground or had their hands up. They just have a quicker trigger finger for a life they don't value. And this has been going on a lot longer than most people know, it's just it's being recorded now. And even after being recorded these guys are getting off.

 

You can't be serious.. Yes, every race commits violence toward each other, but some do so at an incredibly higher rate than others. White on white homicides in 2013: 2,509. Black on black homicides in 2013: 2,245. So in other words, black on black homicides almost equal whites despite whites being 72% of the population and blacks being 13%. These are facts.

I get it, police brutality is still an issue. But it isn't the primary issue. Look at the numbers of how often a cop kills an unarmed black person compared to how often blacks kill each other. The majority of cops are good despite the fact that some are still racist and trigger happy. You're letting the media control your mind since all they want to talk about is the rare instances that a white cop (****, a lot of the cases don't even include white cops, Philando Castile, Trayvon Martin, Alva Brazile, etc.) shoots an unarmed black person. There are bigger issues such as black on black violence that need to be addressed, and this case with Dwyane Wade's cousin brings that to the forefront. If you can't even walk your kids down the street without being shot there's a huge issue with the community.

 

Blah blah blah. The point of the matter is people that protect us shouldn't be killing us. And yes black on black is out of hand. I was responding to what OP stayed. If he would have just kept it as DWade Cousin being killed, then I wouldn't have responded. He brought up the Cops. Plus I have nothing against good Law enforcement officers, cause I have good friends that are cops and was going to become one myself. But I do depose the bad ones and those that try to make excuses for their actions.

In the South side of Chicago apparently it's every day common for innocent bystanders to get shot. Each neighbourhood is controlled by a different gang and Also it wasn't enough that they had worn out textbooks from the 80s but now they are closing down schools and put kids at even more risk by having them moving around.
