Yea dude, they offered him what, 40 mil instead of 48 mil?

Let's not throw around the word "sacrifice" so casually.

Pat Riley is part of a mob. Don't ever believe what he says.

Y'all are real butthurty about the guy in charge of the team doing what's best for the team. It's a business not a family reunion.

It's not thrown around casually. You have to look at it from an NBA's perspective where other players try to get the most money possible. It's definitely considered a sacrifice when you look at it that way.

At the end of the day, the Heat were wrong. That's my opinion.

It's not a gesture of good will. Both Harden & the team gained something from the renegotiation.

    Exactly!

Riley is a result-oriented cutthroat guy, and with a big ego too. Never liked him as a person, even hated him with a passion when he was with the Lakers.

Didn't he threw SVG under the bus and took over coaching when they got Shaq? And then a couple of years later when Wade got hurt and Shaq got old and left, the team went south real quick and he handed the coaching job to Spo.

48M isn't exactly "max money". And even if he did, Riley should offer him at 20M considering all the discounts Wade gave them over the years and recruiting Lebron for 2 rings and 3 finals appearances. I mean Rox basically let Parsons earn 15M just for helping to convince Fegan and Dwight to sign with Rox, Riley won't even give Wade his money AND had the nerve to say that they don't owe Wade a thing LOL.

    Talk about an ungrateful SOB.

What exactly did Rockets get from Harden except good will? And even if they did get something, where does it say doing a gesture of goodwill means you don't get something out of it, by the very nature of good will you already are getting something back. Maybe you should look at what "good will" means dude.

NBA careers and Athlete's earning windows are short
Wade's being asked to give up 5 to 10% of his career earnings to remain with the heat.
It's still a sacrifice, because that's money he'll never get back from the Heat

Crocodile tears. Should have treated Wade with the respect that he deserved. It's wrong that Drake Wade will be playing out his career in another jersey other than a Heat one. Riley messed up and he knows it.

Riley didn't mess up, he had like 2 months to sign wade but he didn't want to. He knows what he's doing.
