    I'd argue that if you watch the replay, Jake thought there was no way the pitcher makes a move back to second... And he didn't. That foot barely pointed towards first. If you are reading the pitcher as a runner, that lead foot said "going forward". That's a missed call more than bad base running.

    That was a balk but still. Don't mess around when you are the fastest player on the team and our best hitter is at the plate.

    Just not intelligent baseball.
