Sounds good in theory but he already went through training camp, practice & games and according to this, is not eligible to be placed on the PUP list.
Any chance we kick the tires on him?: <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Report: <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Eagles?src=hash">#Eagles</a> willing to listen to offers for Kenjon Barner | <a href="http://t.co/b7Pkky8BLe">http://t.co/b7Pkky8BLe</a></p>— SPORTSRADIO 94WIP (@SportsRadioWIP) <a href="https://twitter.com/SportsRadioWIP/status/639861436752072704">September 4, 2015</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Right, which is why he probably goes IR-DR. By the time he comes back you know where you are with Mallet/Hoyer most likely so you can cut one if you need to OR if you kept Worthy and he hasn't panned out you can cut him, etc. Edit: Didn't realize you can only designate one player per year with that, so maybe they don't go that route. Hard to say.
Exactly. You only get one IR-DTR spot for the year and I'm not keen on using it for the 3rd string QB. They may need it later. Locked up the backup job in St. Louis.

Four of the last six. Look, they squeezed in 6 and 2 win seasons into that stretch; they shouldn't hoist a banner or throw a parade. But the front office isn't incompetent. Where they fail is in finding players who can either sustain success, or eliminate the need to eventually thwart success with high-priced free agent acquisitions. But this front office has been... I mean, this isn't Matt Millen/Detroit. Let's not overstate it. It's a C-C+. No team that drafts Watt, Hopkins, Brown, Cushing trade for Schaub, sign Foster is an F...
