I don't think EZ ever had a chance to make this roster once Mumph impressed the coaches. He doesn't do enough for you on special teams and he doesn't have a lot of upside so there isn't a reason to stretch the roster with an extra receiver to keep him.
Rare Bobby post I agree with. Most of us were very happy with the pick at the time. Hell, half of the draft thread was pissed when we passed on him for Fiedorowicz and were calling for us to trade up for him. And now a lot of those people are b****ing at Rick Smith for taking a guy they wanted. Hindsight is 20/20, but the pick was nearly universally praised at the time. I'm not going to get too upset about that.
He also missed plays like the 50 yard to run by the saints when he couldn't set the edge. Seemed like the coaches were always bagging on him.
yet since 2007 and coming into 2014, the rockets and texans had the same playoff appearances, with the texans advancing in their version of their second round, one more time than the rockets. Let's see what the texans can do now in 2015

EZ only had 3 balls thrown his way yesterday, well 3 catchable balls, got to remember that series after he made the catch and run, Savage threw 3 straight balls out of bounds. He had a close play off finger tips the other 2 times...including the last pass by Mallet to end game
They don't need to waste the IR-DTR spot on the 3rd string QB, who will be inactive on game days anyways.

Exactly, so just keep him on the 53 as you normally would. What am I missing? Open another roster spot for someone who will also probably be inactive on gamedays?
So the WRs are Hopkins, Shorts, Washington, Mumphrey, Strong, (and WORTHY????) Keyshawn still hasn't been released
The astros are contenders for the first time in a long time. Same with the Rockets starting last year. You can say the same for the Texans in '12.
