    My Facebook feed is a mix of this, posts asking why we can't all get along, and then blaming Obama for this. All from the same people. These are also the same people who keep posting how they must have guns to save them from a tyrannical government while also plastering "we support law enforcement" or "we support the troops!" all over the place.

    Yeah, I've been a liberal in Texas going on 27 years and many of these are family members, so I'm not worried about it. However, the "hide all posts from random conservative page where all my friends share barely intelligible memes" is great!

    You usually know which one of your "friends" are like this and can do it sneakily by setting the option to not getting updates from these people in your newsfeed. Cuts down on a lot of drama like.. why did you unfriend me etc and you can still get updates in case they have invitations to events and things.

    I have a lot of friends who feel this way and I don't want to miss out on their other updates. I don't know how long the option has been there, but now that you can choose just hide from certain pages, it's been great.

    What would they protest exactly? Perhaps if the killer were simply put on administrative leave pending a six week investigation and a no bill and that was a deep and long history of same then they might be a little more angry I'm guessing.
