Mallett could easily wind up a better QB than Teddy or Jimmy, "missing out" on him means nothing. When you have an Alex Smith caliber (if Teddy managed to fully realize his potential as Alex Smith) you don't have the worst QB in the world, but you really wish you had a better QB.
i havent seen what he does better than young theodore, nor do i see any upside with mallet... texans front office and their fans dont know what a real qb looks like... we've never had one
http://www.nfl.com/photoessays/0ap3000000476297 all-nfl under 25 team young theodore bridgewater first again
Any under 25 all-nfl list that doesn't start with OBJ is wrong IMO. But young Theodore did very well his rookie year. But hasn't done enough (yet) to have the Texans kicking themselves for not drafting him.
2014 nfl draft redo.... as voted by nfl.com lookey who the texans take first overall, look how far clowney falls http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap30...t-doover-texans-get-teddy-bridgewater-at-no-1
also i cant help but laugh at these raidurs fans who keep saying derek carr outplayed teddy... first off all carr started from week 1.... teddy started due to injury in week 5..... 5 of derek carr's passing td's came in the 2nd half at the 1 yard line. To put that in perpspective, that’s 3rd all time, behind Jim Everett (6) and Kerry Collins (5). Six of Carr’s touchdowns came in garbage time down 11+ in the last 5 minutes of the 4th quarter. meanwhile teddy bridgewater finished 4th overall in advanced metrics in finsihed drives... ( basically getting the ball from your 20 and getting 3 or 7 points).... teddy relied on matt aiasta to get the td's.. teddy is a selfless player, he doesnt care he scores the td's he just wants to win.... according pff 5 of teddy's 12 picks were not his fault
We all saw how it played out this past season. 1. Injury bust 2. Viable starting QB that was actually winning games on one of the, if not THE WORST, football teams in the league. Yeah, good for you and Clowney.
The Texans would have taken Mack if they had a redo, and no team would be willing to use the #5 overall pick on a player if they knew he would have to get microfracture surgery coming out of the draft.
the texans could have had both but thats the besides the point, teddy has shown that he can be an elite qb in the nfl if you go by pff and advanced metrics that judge qbs and the texans needed a qb more than anything, heck we still need a qb
And Yet I was called an idiot when I said I didn't mind Bridgewater going #1, or Mack then trading up for Bridgewater, for what would have been Savage and Sua-Filo...
Teddy Bridgewater's final 2015 preseason stats: 29 of 35 (82.9 percent) for 295 yards with one touchdown, no interceptions. 7-7 76yds vs Cowboys think he's done for day.
I'm a Vikings fan He's been really impressive, hard worker, good decisions etc ready for his 2nd year.
will he start throwing TDs this year ? we will see - (NBC SPORTS) Another solid showing by Bridgewater http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/08/29/another-solid-showing-by-bridgewater/ - (ESPN NFL) Teddy Bridgewater turns in an impressive performance in Dallas http://espn.go.com/blog/nflnation/p...-turns-in-an-impressive-performance-in-dallas - (YAHOO) Bridgewater perfect for Vikings http://sports.yahoo.com/news/bridgewater-perfect-vikings-romo-solid-cowboys-021805420--nfl.html
